X-Guide Navigation System
The X-Guide by X-Nav Technologies is a dynamic, 3D navigation system that allows for more accurate dental implant surgeries. The X-Guide provides Dr. Ruff with the ability to perform live, computer-guided surgery in realtime, allowing her to see into the jaw as she is drilling. This state-of-the-art technology shows the exact position, angle, and depth that a dental implant should be placed. Sometimes referred to as "GPS for the drill," the results Dr. Ruff is able to achieve with X-Guide are far more precise and allow for longer-lasting, higher-quality dental care.
Versah® Drill System
Dental implants need plenty of sturdy bone structure to be successful. When this is lacking, the post may fail to fully integrate with the bone, which leads to implant failure. Our Versah Drill System can help increase implant stability even when bone anatomy is compromised. First, bone is cut in the clockwise direction with a special drill. Next, the bone is densified with a non-cutting drill moving in the counter-clockwise direction. As the bone is pushed outward, it successfully densifies and expands for implant placement.
Sirona Galileos 3D CBCT Scanner
Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) technology is quickly becoming the standard of care when it comes to dental imaging. Dr. Ruff is committed to providing the highest quality of dental care, and we are proud to introduce the Sirona Galileos 3D CBCT Scanner into our practice. The CBCT Scanner allows Dr. Ruff to create 3D images of your teeth and all of the surrounding oral structures, from the jaw bone to the nerves and blood vessels that run through it. With everything presented in a single, crystal-clear image, Dr. Ruff can create precise treatment plans to guarantee successful dental implant procedures.
Platelet Rich Fibrin
Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) is a fibrin clot with high a concentration of platelets and white blood cells. This fibrin clot will gradually release growth factors which stimulates tissue regeneration, promotes angiogenesis, stimulates cell migration, and increases cell proliferation. All of this leads to accelerated soft tissue and bone healing! PRF is a biological dressing which is used for better and faster healing. It is ideal for tooth extractions, bone grafting and dental implants, and is derived from the patient's blood at the time of surgery. PRF will release growth factors for 10 days as well as have a supportive effect on the immune system. Please ask Dr. Ruff if this would be the right treatment option for you.
Intraoral Cameras
Wouldn’t it be great if you could see your smile from your dentist’s perspective? Wouldn’t that make it much easier to understand your needs and why they might be recommending a certain treatment? With our intraoral camera, that’s exactly what you can do! This small device fits easily into the mouth to capture high-resolution images of the teeth and gums we can show you on a monitor right in the treatment room. With it, you can know that you and your dentist are always on the same page.
Digital X-Rays
X-rays enable us to look beyond the surface of the smile to catch and diagnose potential dental problems before they are even visible to the naked eye, and to make this tool as effective as possible, we’ve gone fully digital. Compared to traditional X-rays, digital X-rays can create images much faster, capture more detail, and they even emit up to 90% LESS radiation, giving many of our patients peace of mind.
