Frequently Asked Questions

At Ascot Aesthetic Implants & Dentistry, we want our patients to have all the information they need in order to take great care of their smiles, so we’re always ready to answer questions. Below, you’ll find answers to some of the most common ones we hear every day. Of course, if you have a question we haven’t touched on here, we invite you to give us a call anytime!

How often should I go to the dentist?

Dr. Ruff, as well as the American Dental Association, recommends that patients of all ages should attend at least two dental checkups and cleanings every year. These appointments enable her to catch and treat small issues before they can become major headaches, and they can also go a long way in preventing problems from developing in the first place!

Can I bring my child to Ascot Aesthetic Implants & Dentistry?

Yes! Dr. Ruff and our entire team just love having children around the office. We offer plenty of kid-friendly services designed to give growing smiles a strong start. We’ll also bend over backwards to ensure that your little one is always comfortable and relaxed whenever they come to see us.

Can you help with a dental emergency?

Yes. If you or a loved one are experiencing quite a bit of oral pain due to a broken/knocked out tooth or severe toothache, just give our office a call, and we’ll be ready to help right away. We can offer you first-aid tips over the phone, and we can even schedule a same-day appointment to provide immediate care. In any case, if you ever need dental care NOW, we’ll always be there to help!

What is the best way to replace my missing teeth?

While this answer is different for every patient, for most, our first recommendation is dental implants. Why? Because they are the only treatment that restores an entire tooth from root to crown, creating the next best thing to a real tooth both functionally and aesthetically. Dr. Ruff is also extremely experienced in implant dentistry, having completed hundreds of hours of continuing education. She has also invested in a lot of technology to make the implant process faster, more comfortable, and more precise, including a CBCT scanner, Versah Drills, the X-NAV system( for computer-guided surgery), and Platelet Rich Fibrin for bone grafts.

I’m scared of going to the dentist. How can you help?

If our friendly and understanding team isn’t enough to calm your dental nerves, we also have sedation options available as well. Whether you’re coming in for a routine checkup or something more involved, our sedation techniques can ensure you feel nice and relaxed in the dental chair. Your comfort is always our top priority!

Will you file my dental insurance?

Yes. Ascot Aesthetic Implants & Dentistry is happy to file all insurance plans for our patients. We will do everything we can to help you maximize your benefits. To learn more of how your plan can best be used to benefit your needs, please contact us today.
